The IMPI-FUMEC-NAFIN Patenting Support Program, began operations in 2012, with the objective of increasing the level of patenting of Mexican developers.

Through this program, FUMEC supports entrepreneurs, independent inventors, entrepreneurs and researchers to protect their inventions and so that they can use and exploit them exclusively during the time indicated by the Mexican legislation for each figure protection (patents and utility models).

This is achieved through a patentability analysis that consists of a study of the state of the art and technique as well as support in the drafting of the patent application or utility model.

With the provision of these services, the program allows to create capacities in the beneficiaries so that they can register their inventions, while contributing to the promotion of intellectual property culture in Mexico.

This program also offers a series of complementary services such as workshops to disseminate the culture of intellectual property and support for the protection and commercialization of inventions, which includes a strategic surveillance report which analyzes four axes: competitive, commercial, technological, environmental surveillance.
